Inventory Control Manager

Job Description


Under the direction of the VP of Operations, the Inventory Control Manager is responsible to help coordinate activities of inventory management for finished goods, outside cold storage, shipping and receiving, logistics, holiday distribution, and co-packing WIP / finished goods logistics. Encompassing 250 finished goods sku's across 12 locations.


1. Engage with all levels and responsibilities from multiple departments, promoting company values, culture and team member engagement.

2. Communicate with Scheduling, Production and Customer Service to effectively move and/position all finished good inventories and raw material supply.

a. Weekly evaluation of forward inventory positioning

3. Responsible for inventory transfer, requisition and order fulfillment BMP's.

a. Includes strong check and balance systems

b. Record keeping accountability for all transactions

4. Monthly reconciliation of inventory in outside location

a. Followed by physical reconciliation if needed.

5. Develop inventory reports in microsoft excel, encompassing over 250 sku's across 12 locations, formatted for analysis in pivot tables and used for daily management purposes.

a. Pallet Positions by SKU by Location, driving utilization and efficiency decisions

b. Inventory Aging by SKU by anticipated sales date by location

c. Inventory replenishment based on trailing sales data by code date and minimum batch run requirements

d. Order Volume reports by SKU x Lbs x cases x pallets

e. R&D Inventory Report Maintenance

f. LTO Inventory Report Maintenance

6. Seasonal responsibility for Holiday distribution center

7. Other duties as assigned or self directed to optimize efficiencies.


Minimum Requirements-

1. Strong analytical skills including Microsoft Office (with emphasis on Excel)

2. Strong verbal and written communication skills

3. 2 or more years professional work experience

4. 2 year (Associate's) degree

5. Ability to self audit work flow efficiencies of self, the department, and lead improvement initiatives.

6. Able to summarize data and wide-ranging issues to enable real-time decision making

7. Experience writing and executing new procedures, adjusting as necessary to achieve desired results.

8. Strong organizational, analytical, and self management skills

9. Result oriented; issue resolution required

10. Interest in working/cultivating a team environment

11. Demonstrated ability to independently take ownership of initiatives and drive execution


Strongly Preferred-

1. 4 year (Bachelor's) degree

2. Inventory tracking/control and/or production planning experience

3. Ability to operate forklift

4. Experience with ERP/Inventory Management Software

5. Experience with SQF standards

6. Bi-lingual (Spanish/English)

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
